I had it mind to take it easy this morning. Something happened along the way and I noticed myself attacking every undulation and small climb. Fun to see an 18 mph avg speed. Diet, swimming, and consistent riding are making me stronger.
Performance gains are interesting. They’re relative. I still hit walls, push too hard, and take what feels like long recoveries from hard efforts; before the next one. The gains don’t mean anything is easier, it’s just a different tier.
