How it went

As you’d expect. After a 1000 yd swim earlier in the day, I didn’t have a lot to offer. Thigh cramps snuck up on me when I pushed the Fanita Dr. wall. If you haven’t ridden a wall yet, climb Fanita. It will leave you breathless, and somehow, still able to curse.

I was fortunate to see a caterpillar on the HWY 52 bike path climb. I’m not sure if I’m training for the Quick n’ Dirty Summer Series. But, if I am, there is always time to stop the hard charge and appreciate roadside surprises. Always. Otherwise, what’s the point of riding?
